3. ABOUT BANYOLES

Banyoles is a town in the north of Catalonia. It's got a population of about 20,000. There's a lot of tourism, especially in summer.

I like Banyoles because it is a pretty town with a beautiful lake.

For tourists, there are some places to visit like the St. Mary's Church, the Neolitic Park, some museums and old buildings.

The most beautiful place in Banyoles is the lake. You can go for a walk, by bike or on the typical boat called “ La Tirona”. My favourite places are the main square, the Draga park and the lake, of course!

Banyoles is 50 km to Girona. It's about half an hour by bus.

There are some coaches to Olot and Barcelona.
